The Water Cats kicked off the season at the Alice Natatorium on Saturday. The Sprint meet included 20 teams and 380 swimmers.  “GP was represented in 24 individual events, 19 of the 24 swims were time improvements.  The team did a great job executing turns, finishes and streamline starts,” stated Coach Jackson.

Congratulations to the following swimmers that placed in the top 10:

Eliana Dykehouse 3rd 200 free and 100 IM

Wade French 10th 100 free

Women’s 100 Medley Relay (9th) and 200 Freestyle relay (8th):

  • Mia Aleman, Laura Schmidt, Eliana Dykehouse and Abby Krisl

Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay (10th):

  • Wade French, Colton Bennett, Luka Nelson and Sebastian Lindley

Best technical improvement goes to Jameson Hundl for her 50 free turn.

GP’s swimmer of the meet awarded to Marianna Lopez- Cadenas for her aggressive 100 freestyle finish and time drop.
