GP Swim News 10-23-18 The GP water cats competed against nineteen schools this past weekend at CCISD’s Class Meet. GP Swim news 10-1-2018 The Water Cats started the 2018 season with big splash at the Alice Sprint meet this past Saturday. GP Swim News, By the numbers 2-19-18 Participating at the state level is an honor achieved by very few high school swimmers.  There are over 7000 swimmers in the 5A division from 275 districts. Eleven high schools participated in the District 30 Swimming Championships hosted by Corpus Christi Independent School District.  The top six swimmers in each event have earned their spot at the Region VIII Championships. Twenty teams competed this weekend at the Tuloso-Midway Aquatics center in this year’s Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Zone Championships.  Obtaining a qualifying time to swim in the meet is a difficult task.  The intent of the cut off times is to bring the top 25% of the swim population to the meet in preparation
