GP Swim News The Water cats participated in the 2017 Class Meet along with fifteen other schools from the coastal bend area.  This is the only swim meet of the season that allows swimmers to compete against only swimmers in their respective grade level. There are over 6000 varsity level swimmers in the state of Texas. The 266 High Schools with swim programs are divided into 32 districts. The top six from each district meet advanced to the eight regional meets to compete this past weekend. The 31 schools in region 8 sent their best to CCISD this weekend

GP swim news 1-29-17 In the largest and most competitive district 30- 5A swim meet in South Texas history, only six per event earned the honor of advancing to Region 8 Championships. The GP water cats performed in the year’s most competitive meet of the season.  The Pre-Region showcase swim meet included 836 swimmers from 46 schools. The meet was hosted by Brownsville ISD and only the top 16 returned to swim finals on day two of the competition.  Congratulations to the finalist that proudly represented GP:
